Who's working on his campaign: Darden Copeland, founder and managing director of Calvert Street Group, is Kane's campaign manager. David Ingram, chairman of Ingram Entertainment, is Kane's campaign finance chair. Alan Seacrest, former executive director of the Tennessee Democratic Party, is his pollster. Veteran communications strategist Mike Kopp is overseeing communications and media. Former Metro Councilwoman Vivian Wilhoite is Kane's outreach coordinator, and Pam Martin is Kane's treasurer. Some of Kane's highest-profile backers include Rep. Harold Love Jr.; Councilwoman Emily Evans; attorneys Lew Conner, Nick Bailey, Tom Lee and Dianne Ferrell Neal, the latter of whom was a vocal critic of the Amp; restauranteur brothers Max and Ben Goldberg; and Rev. Frank Stevenson.
